Q: Who is Bounce-Around?
A: We are a family owned and operated business, operating in York County, Pa. Bounce-Around's first priority is the satisfaction of its customers. Our goal is to provide the highest quality, safest and cleanest bounce units in the industry.
Q: Is Bounce-Around insured?
A. Yes, we are fully insured with the state required liability insurance policy. A copy of our insurance policy can be shown to you at the time of your rental.
Q: Who sets up the bounce houses?
A. We deliver, set-up and pickup the unit. That is all included in the price of your rental.
Q: Why can't I pick up the bounce house and set it up myself?
A. Our main concern at Bounce-Around is your safety. Some companies allow you to pick up the unit and set it up yourself, however we don't feel that is a good idea. We are trained to evaluate the site, use appropriate stakes and straps to secure it to the ground, and bring to your attention some safety issues.
Q: What is Bounce-Around's inclement weather policy?
A. Rain and high winds are the two most common types of bad weather, which require deflation of the unit. If local weather forecasts are calling for rain or winds exceeding 20 MPH on the day of your rental, Bounce-Around may have to cancel your rental for safety concerns. If rain arrives after the unit is set up, it must be deflated and all electrical connections should be disconnected. If rain stops, the unit can be re-inflated to resume use. DO NOT use the unit if it is wet, as wet vinyl becomes very slippery and unsafe. Customers do not get a refund if rain occurs after delivery and set up.
Q: Can a bounce house be setup inside?
A. Yes, our units can be set up indoors or outdoors. Ceiling height should be at least 20 feet high. A school, church, gymnasium or auditorium provides plenty of room.
Q: How much room is needed?
A. It depends on the size of the unit you are renting. We generally require several extra feet on each side of the inflatable for a safe setup.
Q: Is there paperwork involved in renting from Bounce-Around?
A. Yes, the customer must sign a rental agreemnt stating that he or she understands the terms of the agreement and has received a copy of and understands the rules of the unit.
Q: Do you deliver to other cities?
A: Yes, but please be aware that due to rising gas prices and the possible need for an extra truck and labor that travel fees can be quite high. Please call our office for a current quote.
Q: Does the standard 8 hour rental time include your set up time?
A: No. We arrive early to set up so you get the entire rental time to play.
Q: When do you set up?
A: That depends on how many rentals we have that day. Generally we arrive between 15 and 45 minutes before your rental time begins. If we have a lot of rentals that day, we may need to set up as early as 4 hours in advance. We will call the week of your appointment to confirm delivery time and that someone will be at the party location.
Q: We´ve rented some really dirty units from other companies in the past. Are they always that dirty?
A: No. The inflatable should be clean when you get it. Bounce-Around cleans and disinfects after every rental.
Q: Do we have to keep it plugged in the entire time?
A: Yes. A blower keeps air in the jump unit the entire time. Once unplugged they deflate. That´s why we require an outlet within 100´ of the unit or a generator. Longer cords can pop your circuit breaker so we bring our own heavy duty cords.
Q: What about parks? Do parks have electricity?
A: We love setting up at parks but some parks do NOT have electricity. Please check to see if your particular park has electrical service. If not, you will have to rent a generator. Also, most parks require to be added onto our insurance policy as Additionally insured.
Q: What payments do you take?
A: Cash, Check or Credit Cards. If paying by cash, please have exact change as our drivers do not carry cash.
Q: Do you require a deposit?
A: We require a $50 Credit Card deposit from all residential and commercial customers. We don't require a deposit from non-profits, churchs, schools or day care centers. All deposits are fully refundable if you cancel your order at least 7 days prior to your rental date. If you cancel between 2-6 days prior to your rental you will be given a raincheck that is good for 1 year. If the weather is too bad and the appointment must be cancelled, we will give you a raincheck that is good for 1 year.
Q: How big are the bounce houses?
A: All of our bounce houses are 13´x13´ Please note the space required for each inflatable (listed near the picture) as some are VERY big and require extra space. When in doubt, measure your space to make sure it will fit. Jumps need room to be staked and they need room for the blower and can´t rub against walls or trees as this may damage the jump. The sizes listed with each jump does not include the space needed for stakes etc. If you have stairs or a tiered backyard, please call our office to discuss options for setup.
Q: What about the big inflatables? Any special requirements?
A: Check the requirements listed with the combo units, slide and obstacle course. Also, make sure you have at least a 4´ access to the area where it will be set up. The units can weigh up to 470 pounds so we need a clear path with ample room.
Q: What surfaces do you set up on?
A: We can set up on Grass (our favorite and best for the kids), dirt, asphalt, and concrete. Sorry, we can´t set up on any type of rocks as the constant rubbing will wear through the vinyl jumps.
Q: Can we see a copy of your contract and safety rules?
A: Yes. There is a link in your receipt once you've ordered or you may contact our office.
Q: Are we responsible for the unit if it gets a tear or damaged in any way?
A: Yes and no. You are not responsible for normal wear and tear on our units. Seams may develop tears in high traffic areas over a period of time. If this happens please alert us at once so we can remedy the situation. If however, damage occurs due to failure to follow our safety rules or negligence (i.e. not turning off the blower in high winds) you will be responsible for all damages up to and including replacement of the unit/blower etc which can cost thousands of dollars. We don´t want you or us to be in that situation which is why we have you sign and initial on all of our safety rules so that you can be the trained operator.
